NUN THE LESS LOVES TURFWAY, TAKES FOREGO STAKES
FLORENCE, Ky., (January 17, 2020) – Nun the Less again proved his affinity for Turfway Park, coming off an eight-month layoff to take Friday night’s $75,000 Forego Stakes by 1 1/4 lengths over runner-up Glennwood and another four lengths over third-place finisher Hemp Hemp Hurray. FIELD SIZE BOOMS AT TURFWAY PARK HOLIDAY MEET
FLORENCE, Ky. (January 6, 2020) – Turfway Park closed out its 16-day holiday meet December 31, 2019, the track’s first race meet as a property of Churchill Downs Incorporated. With purses virtually twice those of the previous holiday meet, average field size jumped from 8.6 in 2018 to 10.2. Read more.
PEEKACHO UPSETS PRAIRIE BAYOU STAKES
FLORENCE, Ky. (Dec. 31, 2019) – Sent off at 13-1, Peekacho made his first black-type start a winning one, holding off Royal Mesa by a neck to upset the $75,000 Prairie Bayou Stakes Tuesday at Turfway Park. Guest Suite was another four lengths back in third. Final time for the 1 1/16-mile race over Polytrack for horses 3 years old and up was 1:45.49. Read more.

TURFWAY, WOODBINE JOIN FORCES FOR ALL-WEATHER WINNERS CHALLENGE
FLORENCE, Ky. (Dec. 19, 2019) – Turfway Park and Woodbine Entertainment have teamed up to create the All-Weather Winners Challenge series, with winners of designated stakes at each track earning automatic entry with nomination and entry fees paid to stakes across the border. The new series begins in 2020, with the first eligible winners coming from Woodbine’s 2019 Grey Stakes (G3) and Mazarine Stakes (G3). Read more.
JEAN ELIZABETH DOMINATES HOLIDAY INAUGURAL STAKES
FLORENCE, Ky. (Dec. 6, 2019) – Most of the money was on Jean Elizabeth in the 33rd running of the Holiday Inaugural Stakes (BT) Friday at Turfway Park and she didn’t disappoint, racing powerfully on the front end to score by 3 1/2 lengths over determined 16-1 long shot Domonette. Read more.

BRIGHT FUTURE FOR TURFWAY PARK BEGINS WITH 2019 HOLIDAY MEET
FLORENCE, Ky. (Nov. 26, 2019) – While construction of Turfway Park’s new facility won’t begin until the spring of 2020, changes that herald a bright future for the Northern Kentucky Thoroughbred racetrack are already evident as it opens its 44th holiday meet Dec. 4. (CDI press release) LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI” or “the Company”) (Nasdaq: CHDN) announced today that, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NKYRG, LLC, it has completed its previously announced purchase of all of the outstanding equity of Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky from Jack Ohio LLC, an affiliate of JACK Entertainment LLC, and Hard Rock International for total consideration of $46 million in cash, subject to certain working capital and other purchase price adjustments.
