TRAINER ERIN TADEO SCORES FIRST CAREER WIN

FLORENCE, Ky. (Jan. 25, 2017) – Erin Tadeo scored her first career training win Wed., Jan. 25, when her homebred mare Issued came home a three-length winner in the third race at Turfway Park. Jockey Abel Lezcano was aboard for the mare’s maiden victory.

Tadeo trains her own horses off her Lexington, Ky., farm, Corral 703. She currently has three Thoroughbreds in training, all homebreds out of her mare Impossible Beauty: 5-year-old Issued (U S Ranger); 3-year-old gelding Fifth Thief (Temple City), who is nearly ready to race; and 2-year-old colt Private Boone (U S Ranger), who has just begun training.

Trained at the time by Juan Aguirre, Impossible Beauty was Tadeo’s first runner and first winner as an owner. Tadeo had taken out her trainer’s license in 2004 at the same time she took out her owner’s license, and Impossible Beauty’s win further fanned her interest in training. “I wanted to try training on my own,” she said. “It was just something I was interested in doing, to try to make a future of, to just take off and fly. Owning and racing Impossible Beauty gave me a thrill, and we liked her so much that when she retired we decided to keep her and breed her. Right now I’m walking on air.”

Tadeo is bi-vocational, working also as a computer tech support contractor and as a Spanish-language translator.
