Turfway Hires Dina Estrella as Sales and Marketing Leader
FLORENCE, Ky., (Sept. 8, 2016) – Turfway Park announced today the addition of Dina Estrella to spearhead sales and marketing for the Thoroughbred racetrack. In her new position, Estrella will oversee advertising, sales, events and promotions with a focus on engaging fans and growing Turfway’s community presence.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dina to the Turfway team,” said General Manager Chip Bach. “Her sales and marketing experience coupled with her racing knowledge and love for Turfway Park is the ideal combination of skills and passion.”
Estrella is no stranger to Thoroughbred racing or Turfway Park. She is the daughter of the late Jack Sturgeon, a trainer who was stabled at the track from its earlier days as Latonia. Early in her career Estrella worked as a server and as a mutuel clerk for Turfway Park.
“My family is truly part of the tapestry of this track and coming back is very personal for me,” Estrella said. “I attribute much of my success in sales and marketing to my experience at Turfway. The excitement of the race track and the interaction with fans are what I am looking forward to most.”
In addition to her sales and marketing background, Estrella was also the public relations personality at Great Lakes Downs in Michigan. Most recently Estrella served as the sales manager for the Hampton Inn Cincinnati Airport South.
Estrella attended East Tennessee State University and Northern Kentucky University where she studied business management and psychology
