Turfway Park expands marketing staff

FLORENCE, KY . . . February 3, 2006 . . . Turfway Park has hired two new managers with responsibilities in the Marketing Department, one filling a new position.

Michael Seader has been hired to create the role of assistant director of marketing, working under Director of Sales and Marketing Jack Gordon. Seader will assist with developing and overseeing promotional events during the track’s live racing season. He brings to Turfway a varied background in guest services, concept development, and customer service initiatives such as Secret Shopper programs. Seader began his new duties January 16.

Wolfgang Kratzenberg joins Turfway as player development manager and will work directly with the track’s patrons. A 2006 graduate of the Race Track Industry Program at the University of Arizona, Kratzenberg completed extensive work in loyalty marketing and will be instrumental in the continuing development of Turfway Park’s industry-leading FasTrack Rewards program. He also completed studies at Three Chimneys Farm, a renowned Thoroughbred breeding and sales operation in Midway, Kentucky, and Sunkist Equine Clinic in Tucson, Arizona. Kratzenberg earlier earned an undergraduate degree in health care administration and has experience in customer service and account management. He began his new duties January 30.
