Cool Bullet returned to sprinting in the Hansel and came away with a 4 1/2-length victory under jockey Calvin Borel. His winning time, 1:08.97, was barely off the 1:08.03 record set by Fatal Bullet; both 'Bullets' were sired by Red Bullet. Cool Bullet is owned by Robert and Lawanna Low and Winmore LLC and trained by Steve Margolis.
With John McKee in the irons, Silver Time (inside) dug down deep to take the Queen Stakes by the barest of noses, coming back in the last few strides to defeat Proud Heiress. Jeff Barkley trains Silver Time for Cottonwood Stables LLC.
Todd Pletcher-trainee Exhi took the lead before the half-mile marker and cruised to a one-length victory in the Rushaway Stakes. Russell Baze was in for the winning ride. The Wertheimer and Frere homebred also won his next start, the Coolmore Lexington (G2) at Keeneland.

Dean's Kitten earned his way into the Kentucky Derby with his 2 1/2-length win in the Lane's End Stakes. Cornelio Velasquez was aboard for trainer Mike Maker and owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey.
