FLORENCE, Ky., (May 2, 2016) – Turfway Park will celebrate the 142nd renewal of the Run for the Roses with its annual Kentucky Derby simulcast and party on Saturday, May 7. Options include both free admission and reserved seating, some with buffet. All options include free admission to the Derby Party in the Paddock, noon to 8 p.m. Greater Cincinnati’s favorite party band, Naked Karate Girls, takes the stage at 1 p.m. Read more.

FLORENCE, Ky. (April 2, 2016) – Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s Oscar Nominated made the lead at the eighth pole and held off Alto Racing’s determined Azar by a neck to win the $500,000 Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Spiral Stakes (G3) at Turfway Park Saturday. It was another neck back to Beverly Anderson and Edward Seltzer’s Surgical Strike in third. Read more.

He'll Pay Takes Rushaway Stakes, Gives Jones Career Win 1,000

FLORENCE, Ky. (April 2, 2016) – Wonderment led gate to wire and drew off in the stretch to win the Bourbonette Oaks (G3) at Turfway Park Saturday, earning 50 points toward a spot in the gate for the Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs on the first Friday in May. Read more.

Mike BattagliaTurfway Names Mike Battaglia Associate VP
FLORENCE, Ky. (March 4, 2016) – Mike Battaglia, whose association with Turfway Park stretches back almost half a century, will step down from the announcer’s booth to assume the role of associate vice president at the Northern Kentucky Thoroughbred race track, effective March 12. He will serve as the track’s ambassador, teaching the art and science of handicapping, engaging fans and helping to promote the track to horseplayers. Read more.
