FLORENCE, KY . . . February 7, 2008 . . . The $50,000 Likely Exchange Stakes at Turfway Park Saturday has drawn a full field of older fillies and mares for the mile race, some willing to sit off the pace and a nearly equal number likely to want the lead.

New to Turfway, Fun Logic is not new to all-weather surfaces. Coming from off the pace, the 5-year-old was most recently third in the Cat's Cradle Handicap over Hollywood Park's Cushion Track. She has three wins and three other in-the-money finishes in nine starts on all-weather tracks and was fifth in the Grade I Lady's Secret last fall at the Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita. The Likely Exchange is her first start since December. For the start at Turfway, jockey Rodney Prescott takes over from Eclipse Award-winning apprentice Joe Talamo. William Currin trains.

Trainer D. M. "Speedy" Smithwick will saddle both Our Dancing Babe, a Turfway stakes winner, and La Perouse. On New Year's Day, La Perouse came from far back to finish third in her first start off a three-month layoff. Before that she had been a one-length winner going a mile at Philadelphia Park. Victor Lebron, who has regularly racked up multiple-win days at Turfway this meet, will be aboard La Perouse.

Rayona can wait several lengths off the pace or close from far back as she did in her most recent race, a mile win in December at Turfway. She has four wins and two seconds in her last six starts, is two-for-two at Turfway, and has four wins and a second at the mile distance. The Likely Exchange will be her first stakes attempt. John McKee rides for trainer Mike Maker.

Early speed will likely come from Princess Laila, in from Woodbine, Chacana, based at Turfway, Adhrhythm and possibly Elitist, both most recently racing at Fair Grounds, and maybe Dashes N Dots, a winner at Turfway in her last start

The field for the Likely Exchange from the rail out: Rayona (McKee); Adhrhythm (Rex Stokes III); Fun Logic (Prescott); Water Gap (Fernando De La Cruz); Jill Indy Pulpit (Hector Rosario Jr.); Princess Laila (Charles Woods Jr.); Chacana (Julio Felix); Elitist (Bill Troilo); Our Dancing Babe (Orlando Mojica); Coya (Jonathan Joyce); Dashes N Dots (Diego Rodriguez); and La Perouse (Lebron). Hayden Valley and Steve's Temptation are on the also-eligible list.

Racing begins Saturday at 1:10 pm. Admission and parking are free.
